KGen was built on a simple conviction: strong public sector organisations change lives.
At the heart of education and public service is not policy or process, but people. Leaders who carry responsibility not only for performance and compliance, but for creating environments where communities can thrive. We exist to stand alongside those leaders.
Our foundation is rooted in senior-level experience across finance, operations, governance and executive leadership. We understand the discipline required to run sustainable organisations, the strategic clarity needed to navigate change, and the operational precision that underpins long-term success.
Over time, that experience evolved into something broader. What began as focused advisory support grew into a multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering structured consultancy, digital innovation and operational management across education and the wider public sector.
Across the organisations we have supported, one truth remains consistent. Regardless of size or structure, the core challenges are remarkably similar:

We help organisations move from pressure to control, from uncertainty to clarity, and from reactive decision-making to confident, strategic leadership.
Our work spans consultancy and advisory services, digital products and automation, outsourced management support and estates and infrastructure strategy. Whether strengthening governance, rationalising costs, implementing digital solutions or delivering capital programmes, our focus is the same: to build resilient, future-ready organisations that achieve more with less.
We believe the difference between organisations that cope and those that thrive lies in alignment. When vision, capability and infrastructure work together, change becomes opportunity rather than disruption.
KGen continues to grow, but our purpose remains constant: to work in partnership with leaders who want to build stronger systems, clearer strategy and lasting impact for the communities they serve.
Turning challenge into outcome. With you every step of the way.
Our team comprises experienced and chartered professionals with deep expertise across education, estates, finance, governance and digital transformation.
We operate as one integrated team, bringing the right expertise at the right time to ensure structured delivery and lasting impact.
Managing Director
Hayley is an experienced leader and non-executive director of organisations with significant experience in Finance and Operations and a demonstrable history of working in both the private, public and third sector, particularly within education.
She is a chartered accountant, qualifying in the FMCG industry before joining the public sector in 2007, working as a strategic Business & Finance Lead for the largest Local Authority in the country. Hayley moved into education, leading Multi Academy Trusts, in 2011. She went on to lead a large multi-disciplinary consultancy in 2019.
During her time in education, Hayley realised there were significant gaps in the market to support the public sector in terms of property management, FM and compliance; this steered KGen’s ethos to focus on clients and projects which mainly have public benefit.
Out of work, Hayley loves socialising. She is an avid football fan and enjoys going to live music events. She also loves going on long walks with her dog.
